Evaporative-Cooling Air Conditioning Systems

Evaporative-cooling air conditioning systems use the cooling effect of the evaporation of liquid water to cool an airstream directly or indirectly. It could be a factory-assembled packaged unit or a field-built system. When an evaporative cooler provides only a portion of the cooling effect, then it becomes a component of a central hydronic or a packaged unit system. An evaporative-cooling system consists of an intake chamber, filter(s), supply fan, direct-contact or indirect-contact heat exchanger, exhaust fan, water sprays, recirculating water pump, and water sump. Evaporative-cooling systems are characterized by low energy use compared with refrigeration cooling. They produce cool and humid air.

Refrigerant pressure can only be accurately checked whilst the Air conditioning unit is running. Either you can distinguish with a amp meter or by the use of refrigerant gauges, this type of act can or must be performed only by an authorized personnel. There is a number of reason to why a Air conditioning unit is not cooling or heating!.. If there is a lack of  refrigerant in any system it means that there is a leak somewhere!...    Ensure that the correct gauges are used on a particular system be it R22 or R410a. All refrigerants are liquefied by the removal of heat energy. However, the cryogenic refrigerants such as helium, hydrogen, nitrogen, and others, are referred to as permanent gasses.  There is a temperature above which a gas cannot be liquefied regardless of the amount of pressure that is applied. That temperature is called the critical temperature. For ordinary refrigerants the critical temperature are above 93.33  ℃, with the exception of carbon dioxide. By contrast, the critical temperatures  of the common cryogenic refrigerants are: nitrogen -147 ℃; hydrogen -236.8 ℃; and helium -268℃, within less than -12.2 C degrees of absolute zero. This means that each gas must be cooled below its critical temperature before it can be liquefied. The critical pressure is the pressure needed to liquefy the gas at the critical temperature.
